Nausea
Nausea dompelt je onder in de submarine leefwereld, in de vorm van een korte lecture performance. Een voice-over leidt het publiek mee de diepte van de oceaan in. Beginnend bij het oppervlak zien we verschillende zeewezens, hun levenswijzen en bijzonderheden. Analoge projecties, reflecties en schaduwen worden geprojecteerd op een doek en live gemanipuleerd.
Deze miniatuurvoorstelling is een combinatie van een diavoorstelling en schaduwtheater. Zie het als een analoge PowerPointpresentatie geïnspireerd op 19de-eeuwse populair-wetenschappelijke voorstellingen waarin met laterna magica en fantasmagorieën de nieuwste ontdekkingen uit de wetenschap aan het publiek werden toegelicht.

Nausea vous immerge dans le monde sous-marin, sous la forme d’une courte performance-conférence. Une voix off guide l'audience dans les profondeurs de l’océan. En partant de la surface, nous découvrons une variété de créatures marines, leurs modes de vie et leurs particularités. Des projections analogiques, des reflets et des ombres sont projetés sur un écran et manipulés en direct.
Ce spectacle miniature est une combinaison de diaporama et de théâtre d'ombres. Considérez-le comme une présentation PowerPoint analogique inspirée des spectacles de vulgarisation scientifique du XIXe siècle, où les dernières découvertes scientifiques étaient expliquées au public à l'aide de lanternes magiques et de fantasmagories.
Nausea immerses you in the underwater world through a short lecture-performance. A voice-over guides the audience into the depths of the ocean. Starting at the surface, we see various sea creatures, their ways of life and unique characteristics. Analogue projections, reflections and shadows are projected onto a screen and manipulated in real time.
This miniature performance is a combination of a slide show and shadow theatre. Think of it as an analogue PowerPoint presentation inspired by 19th-century popular science shows, in which the latest scientific discoveries were explained to the public using magic lanterns and phantasmagoria.
