METHODS AGAINST PRODUCTION. (Lesson 1)

Geschreven door Tazette

Sarah Vanhee (Oostende, 1980) studeerde woordkunst aan het Lemmensinstituut en volgde daarna de mimeopleiding in Amsterdam. In 2007 stond ze op TAZ met haar afstudeervoorstelling 4.000 trees, a red dress and an apple (possible story). Tegenwoordig werkt ze onder meer voor productiehuis Frascati (NL).

to work

in vain

to work

without a clear goal

not to work

to work on things unconnected

to write badly written pieces

to lay down and let thoughts flow

to lay down going through all the pains in one’s body

to destruct all one’s own ideas

to work profoundly on things no one else will ever

appreciate

to work on things you don’t appreciate yourself

to doubt everything you do

to drink a bottle of wine on your own in the afternoon

and feeling bad that being drunk prevents you from

working – pitying yourself

to masturbate 5 times a day

to avoid tables and chairs

to wear training trousers

to look at the dirt in your house

to close your eyes

to play with pimples in the mirror

to surf between ubuweb, aaaarg and facebook,

having the 3 windows open

to read about Paris Hilton’s pregnancy

to stare at the ceiling wondering what to do with

your life

to consider calling people

to think of past works and be ashamed

to think about canceling future works

considering to change job

considering suicide

then falling asleep

checking emails every 5 minutes hoping no one

wants anything

to block any constructive thought.
